By the age of 17 Matthew had endured almost a year of progressively debilitating pain that started in his lower back and went all the way down his right leg. It had stopped him from participating fully in life and doing all the things he wanted to do as a 17 year old.
‘When my mum booked me in to see a Chiropractor I remember thinking ‘lm not sure what this is, but I sure hope it works!’
Matthew reports ‘After my 1st adjustment I instantly felt much better, and after some regular treatment over about 2 months I felt 100% again, able to bend, move, jump, sleep and do everything without pain!, I wish I had discovered Chiropractic years ago’
That is when Matthew decided that he wanted to become a Doctor of Chiropractic.
‘I want to be able to give to others what Chiropractic care has given back to me.’ ‘It really did change the quality of my life’
He then went on to start his 5 years of full time study to become a qualified Doctor of Chiropractic. Initially he studied the 3 year Bachelor Chiropractic Science at Macquarie University, with emphasis on Human Anatomy and Physiology, Pathology and Chiropractic Skills and Principles. Upon successful Completion, he commenced the 2 year Masters of Chiropractic program, covering subjects of Spinal Orthopaedics, Neurology, Pharmacology, Nutrition, Radiology, Differential Diagnosis and of course, Chiropractic Skills and Principles
